Are You Looking For....

Are you looking for that quick fix?  Are you looking for that fast buck?  Are you looking for that ideal situation in life?

I have been around for many a year and I have not found any fast get rich deals that lasted.  Sure there are illegal venues out there that you can make a fast $50.00 to 500.00 on paper!  Have you ever seen what it is like getting paid from them?  It is a nightmare and not one that I want to go through again.  I would much rather build it slow and honestly!

I have been building my current business for almost (3) three years.  I now receive my residual checks monthly when I work!  If I don’t work it I don’t get paid, this is no different than working for someone else.  If you don’t work for your boss you don’t get paid correct?  Being in business for yourself is no different except that when the bills come in, you still have to pay them.

My goals for this year are on paper and now it is up to me, to make them happen!
1.  Provide value to my clients
2.  Offer the Opportunity to 500 people a month
3.  Sign up at least 3 people who have the Go and Get It Mindset
4.  Keep my Blogs updated
5.  Meet my Team in Person at least twice in 2012!
6.  Get a Wheelchair accessable van!
7.  Apply for a Home through Habitat for Humanity!
8.  Keep all bills paid monthly!

Let’s make 2012 a Fantastic Year

I Am Wealthy! Are You?

My "Wealth" is not attached to the picture that  you see to your left!
My wealth comes from within me!  By that I mean that my inner core beliefs is what makes me wealthy.  I believe that being of service to someone else in an honest and ethical manner will increase my outward wealth.  Don't get me wrong I know that it takes money to pay my bills!  Even though I may be short a few dollars to meet all of my obligations at a certain point of the month, I refuse to do things that are unethical in order to generate the cash.

Everyday when I wake up, I get out of the Drivers Seat and turn it over to the LORD!  I know from many years of doing this daily that my needs and bills will be met.  A good example of this type of turning it over is:
Many of you know that I took a big leap of Faith when I moved in May of this year, what you did not know is that my total personal spendable income per month is $673.00 dollars per month. My new rent is $489.00 per month, my electric bill fluctuates between $79.00-$157.00 per month so far and my water bill is between $12.00 and 20.00 per month.  I then have a telephone/Internet bill of between $80.00 and $100.00 per month. Not counting my medications.  On the low end this amounts to $660.00 on the high end so far it comes to $766.00.

I don't worry about it though because my LORD has not failed me once in providing the funds to meet my needs!  He provides sales where they are needed and when they are needed.

I am wealthy beyond my needs in that I have people who really care about me and not what I have.  If you base wealth on material things you will miss out on so much in life!

Be Blessed and have a very Prosperous Day!

Life Is Not A Bed Of Roses! Take The Blinders OFF!

Life is not a bed of Roses!

Have you ever heard that statement and wondered just exactly what it meant to you?  Well I did, and the journey to finding out has been an Emotional one.

I had to go all the way back to my childhood and take a good hard and honest look at myself!  While looking at myself I also discovered things about other people in my life that I had been seeing through rose colored glasses.  Have you ever done the same thing?

I always thought that my Grandmother was a perfect person, until I took off the blinders and saw her for the human being that she really was!  My Grams, was a woman who had struggled with Life, the same as anyone else!  She grew up in the very early 1900's, she didn't have the modern conviences that I have taken for granted at times.  Like running water in the house, she had to go outside to either a homemade well or the creekbed to get her water!  I cannot imagine someone today making 20 trips to a well and back, just to fill a tub to wash their clothes.  Yes, I've seen it on TV or read it in books, I did not see those avenues as glimpses into my own famlies struggles....tv and books were just fiction stories to me.

I remember telling Grams "You don't understand How I Feel, I just Lost my child!".  Little did I know that life had not been a bed of roses for her either in that aspect of life.  She knew exactly what I was feeling as she also had lost a child, since she had chosen not to divulge that information to me as a child, I was unaware of this fact!  We were only privy to certain aspects of our parents and grandparents lives, as I am sure there are many others out there were in the same boat!  The point is that she moved on with life and lived her life to the best of her ability with the learning and coping skills that she had available to her!

Today, we have a vast array of tools available to us, to learn how to cope and move on to living life on lifes terms.  Life is not a bed of roses, it has ups and downs, straight aways and curves it is up to us to decide how we deal with it daily.  Both in our personal life and our business life!  Will you take off the blinders?

My Newest Bloom Reminds Me Of?

This is my newest bloom and my joy in it reminds me of how I felt when I got my first person in my downline, I was elated!  I am still elated when I see the fruits of my work and the fruits of my friends work.

I set my other seedlings outside today so that they can become accustomed to the heat here in Oklahoma.  Seedling plants remind me alot of new Team members, in that I would never turn a newbie loose in a new business without any training at all.  Now if they are a seasoned marketer they probably wouldn't need much training, the same as bringing home a plant that has been outside at a nursery.

That is just me and how I do things.  As you can see I am multitasking at the present, this blog is not only about the newest bloom in my garden, it is also about how I do business.

I am proud of Veronica Morin and Carolyn Landsen in all they have done in their business's and their lives to advance.

I Am Back!

I have been away for awhile due to moving!  I am back now and ready to get back to talking about who I am.  Today a friend of mine The Goddess known Jacque made me start thinking about all of my life again.

She was talking about your niche may be limiting you and that hit home, I have gone back over some of my status updates on Facebook and Twitter and I have became Boring....business seems to be all that I have done in awhile, that is over!

I am back, and this blog is about who I am, Not what my business is, that is just one aspect of my life.
I love gardening and have started that again since my move.  Today I saw my first flower bloom that I planted the week after I finished moving.  I am growing cherry tomatoes from seeds so they will take awhile to produce and that's ok today.

Tomorrow I will be setting out some Nostriums that are about ready to go outside, I am looking forward to them blooming.  Living in Oklahoma I have learned to start all my plants inside as it is too hot for seedlings to be outside in 90 to 100 degree temps.  We have to also water twice a day here.

I am back and I will be posting often.

Enjoy!

Do you feel overwhelmed?

Do you feel overwhelmed by all of the hype out there about how to work a home based business?

I know that I did when I was searching for my business model!  I didn't know if I wanted to do a product structured business or just an affiliate type business structure.

My suggestion to anyone is to do your research....not only on the product but also on the company and the team leaders also!  Not every leader will be a good fit for you!

There are alot of ways to work home based business's and it can get costly!  Don't worry though as there are plenty of us out here in the Cyberworld and in the local area who are willing to help you through it all.

Feel free to follow me, so that you will know when I post again!

Know Your Target Market!!

Know Your Target Market, is something that is stressed by all successful business's.

Today while checking my email I found 7 different emails, telling me that they had the perfect job for me!  When in reality, I am their worst Target to Market to as I am wheelchair bound and I have steel running all throughout my legs.  Just Imagine this: I open the door to a MRI room and I am pulled out of my wheelchair and slammed against the largest magnet in the room!! No that is not something that I would apply for, therefore the money that they spent marketing to me was lost.....except it gave me blogging material.

Know who is a good fit for your business before you hit that send button, and before you market to a purchased list.  To do good Target Marketing know who would benefit from your product or service first.
Next do a little Google Research to see what is going on with others in your Niche, if you see that email marketing is not what is bringing the hits and conversions, then I would refrain from doing it more than once a month, and then only to Qualified Markets.

Most marketing emails get sent to the trash can!  Unless there is a relationship between the people!
I highly recommend building Relationships and doing Relationship Marketing as they already know you, and are more apt to respond to your offer.

Enjoy your day and the post!

Do You Know Your Real WHY?

This morning while listening to a tip video on Your Real Why by Eric Worre, I was reminded of my Why!
Why I started this trek towards being Self Employed. (Business Owner)  If anyone thinks that they do it just because of the potential income that comes in every day or every month, I highly suggest that you Stop and ask yourself will I be able to make this same amount of income on a daily or monthly basis, if things change with my situation?

Over the past couple of years my business has had ups and downs in income flow, as all business's do!  If I did not Know my WHY deep down inside myself, I would not be here today writing this blog.

My real why is not because I woke up and said I want to be my own boss!  It is because: I need to Be Able To Work and Become Self-Supporting period!!

For those of you who do not know me, I have been deemed unemployable by society!  Yet the Lord says that "all will work by the sweat of the brow", that does not mean to sit back and live on SSI or SSDI for the rest of your life!  Knowing my Why has made me continue working on the things that will fulfill my "Real Why"!

As Eric says, You need to dig deep into the deep down core of your why, not just the surface why of: I want to make more money, or I want to bring my spouse home.  Find out deep within YOURSELF, Why you really want to make more money or why do you want to bring your spouse home!!!

Being self employed is not an easy endeavor, it takes alot of hard dedicated work on a daily basis!  Your Real Why is what will keep you going to reach that goal.

Perfect Or Imperfect!

Yesterday I subjected my friends and family on FaceBook to a new program that I am using. It incorporates my pictures and my own voice into email messages or Social Media sites. No this is not a marketing pitch!

Then today I opened my Yahoo page and my Horoscope was stareing at me:  "You know all those celebrities who spend thousands thousands to have perfect bodies, perfect teeth, perfect hair and perfect mates?  Don't be jealous.  Keep in mind that there's a huge industry invested in pointing out that they are just like us (pimples, junk food, divorces and all).  In other words, PERFECT doesn't exist--so why are you working so hard at it?  Glitches, mistakes and missteps keep you in sync with everyone -- especially the people you love. Embrace your Imperfections!"

For over 2 years I put off doing videos, because I couldn't get it perfect! This year I took the plunge and did one myself Imperfections and all.  So now you will be getting more viral emails from me, and yes to my team members turn on your speakers when you start receiving your newsletter, Imperfections and all it is easier to talk than type with Arthritis in the fingers!

Plus, I don't have a publicist to come back and tell you, by the way she is over 60, has had some strokes, is a cancer survivor and has multiple other ailments!  You just get to know me up close and personal from the start imperfections and all!

Have a Great Day!

The Rest of The Story!

As I promised here is the rest of the story.

The first step is to decide what it is that you want to do and is it feasible for you to do!
I know that my first work from home job was a major failure, because I did not research it enough to know what all it entailed.  Have you ever tried to sale someone a Condo site unseen?  It does not work very well as I found out $1,500.00 later!  Can I sell things from home, you bet I can!

Today, I research anything that I am going to do from home thoroughly, I know in advance what it is going to cost me to set up my office area, how much my License's are going to cost me and those are the simple things.

Since, I already had a background in office management that was pretty easy for me.  I knew how many sq. feet of free space I would need without anything between me and say my file cabinets.  Someone my need to come in from an outside agency such as The Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in your city, to do an in home evaluation of the area that you plan to use.

The Department of Vocational Rehabilitation is going to be a great resource for you if this is your first time attempting to work, since you became disabled.  They have alot of resources that they can put you in touch with to assist you in meeting your goals.

If you draw SSDI or SSI contact your local Social Security Office about the Ticket To Work Program, that is step One in the Working from home process when you receive either one of these funds.

Who is Marilyn Fisher?

I am just a lady who got tired of others telling me that I would never be able to work again!

When I lost my job due to an injury that partially severed my spine, The doctors said that I would be completely bedridden for the rest of my life.  Well I had always been a fighter and I was not going to let this setback control the rest of my life.

After 9 months of intensive therapy, I was finally sent home in a manual wheelchair, mind you that I lived alone in Las Vegas, Nevada at this time, and I wasn't going to be stuck inside!  Can we say that I am also a bit headstrong.  One day after fighting with agencies trying to get someone to take me to the store, and being told that they could not take me anywhere except to the doctors.  I got MAD!  I called a Wheelchair provider and set up an appointment with them to come out to fit me with a motorized wheelchair.  After 6 weeks of not hearing from them, I called and found out that this doctor would not write the prescription for the wheelchair.  After a couple of calls to my Congressman and  Miss Amy V, (now deceased) who at that time was a big advocate for people in wheelchairs, I got my prescription for my wheelchair!

I have not stopped since then!  They said I would not work again, today I own my own business!  Has it been easy No, would I do it again?  In a heartbeat!

From the beginning, I knew that it was not going to be easy as I had no use of my legs and very limited use of one arm.  During my first year of trying to work for someone else I ran into alot of obstacles of which could have been avoided if mainstream corporate america, would realize that handicapped people can and do want to work!  We want to be self-supporting and self sufficient.  So how do we get to be these things, with a few simple modifications to work environments or in my case now to our homes.

Tomorrow I will let you in on the rest of the story!
